Account Manager 35k+comm+vehicle London & Home Counties

One of my Water Treatment Clients is currently looking for an experienced Account Manager/Business Development Manager with proven experience within this field.

MUST HAVE proven sales experience within water treatment.


To assist in the management of nominated accounts including Cooling Tower sites plus London Hospital contracts.

To develop both existing and new accounts.


· To assist in the day to day management of the team, including periods when the Business Unit Manager is either on annual leave or is unavailable.
· To manage company's account at these Hospitals, including client liaison and management of site supervisor in charge of static team.
· To report to Business Unit Manager on a fortnightly basis providing updates.

Any key information to be provided as required.
· To attend monthly client meeting with supervising engineer.
· To closely manage sites allocated including those with Cooling Towers.
· To provide technical account management support to larger clients, especially contracts with a larger chemical consumption.
· To carry out regular compliance reviews with higher risk accounts.
· To maintain and expand existing nominated accounts.
· To develop new accounts and to increase existing client base.
· To generate new business leads from referrals and own prospecting.
· To develop accounts identified by business unit manager as not showing growth.

To assist in upgrading “sleeping accounts” and to engage with key contacts in these accounts.
· To assist in surveys, meetings and the quoting of new business as required.
· To attend to, in conjunction with internal sales, quote requests on the Care database.
· To provide legionella awareness training to clients, and internally as required.
· To assist company service delivery team, generally on a one day per week basis as work allows.

General Requirements

· To have the ability to comply with deadlines as required by the account manager.
· To take instructions from the Business Unit Manager, and act appropriately.
· To have the necessary capabilities to understand the client's needs and parameters of tasks undertaken by the company
· To have a flexible attitude, and on occasions to have to work outside of core hours when required
· To ensure that a presentable image is kept when on client sites, at all times

Health and Safety

· To ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements
· To have an awareness of health and safety issues on client sites including checking of database if issues are highlighted, especially if quoting for works to be carried out
· To keep up to date with all relevant legislation such as HSE ACoPL8/HSG274

Other Tasks:

Any other task that is within the post holder's capability

Account Manager up to £35k basic + 5% commission new business and 1% existing business
