£30,000-£40,000 pa

The Role:

The successful RF Engineer will enjoy the technical side and join our client's R&D team, where you will also get involved with testing finished goods and repairing customer returns.
You will be a self-motivated, self-starter who can work on your own initiative and will develop test procedures and take a lead on quality assurance.
You will have an eye for detail and be a great communicator with both other engineers and also customers and suppliers.
Test engineers are expected to cover all aspects of product test: working with R&D to prove new designs, production test of finished goods, as well as test / repair of returned goods.

These are some of the essential skills required:

University degree in Electronics Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline or equivalent industrial experience.
Experience in developing new test procedures, as well as quality assurance.
Knowledge of RF modulators, mixers, amplifiers, and combiners.
Hardware debugging (using oscilloscopes, RF analysers and other appropriate test equipment).
Highly competent soldering, especially SMD reworking.
Attention to detail and quality focus.
Ability to work under time-scale pressure to get products out the door in time while maintaining quality output
