Deputy Nurse Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Nurse Manager in the High Wycombe area for a full time permanent position.

You will be assisting the Registered Manager with the daily operational management of the service and will lead the development of nursing and care staff.

? Ensure that the Service functions with CQC requirements and Quality and Safety
? Work as a clinical lead and role model by demonstrating expert clinical practice
? Put the needs of the people at the centre of care delivery
? Supervise staff and attend staff and service user meetings
? Support nurses with their professional development for their revalidation.
? Assist with the recruitment of staff and rota
? Take responsibility for medication policies and procedures
? Ensure that the Service implements a social activity programme
? Ensure a warm, caring, stimulating and homely environment
? Maintain the skills and knowledge required to deliver the duties of the position
? Use care management systems

About you:

? Registered Nurse ?Adults (First Level)
? Leadership qualification or ability to demonstrate equivalent experience
? At least three year's post registration experience
? One year as a team leader/ward manager
? Experience of supervising, training and mentoring nurses and care staff
? Experience of working in a residential or nursing home
? Demonstrate knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards
? Effective communication skills including verbal, literacy and numeracy
? Good IT literacy, and the ability to use computers on a regular basis.
? Competent approach to budgets, petty cash procedures.
? Capable of working in a position that requires manual handling tasks as a core requirement
? Car driver
