This friendly village Gastro Pub in the Surrey area is looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to help run the kitchen brigade and maintain the high standards already established within this property.
Our Client is renowned for its freshly prepared and home produced food, including home baking.It is therefore essential that all Sous Chef applicants to this position have previously worked in a similar high end establishment.

In this Sous Chef position you will be required to cover all aspects of the kitchen and have a strong emphasis on quality and creativity.
This is a privately owned property and the owners enjoy working as part of a team with their Senior Managers and so it is important that all applicants have excellent team work and communication skills.
As Sous Chef you will be working 5 days a week with 1 straight and 4 splits, plus every 3rd weekend off.
Your Sous Chef duties will include:

? Overseeing the kitchen on a day to day basis
? Ordering of food
? Carrying out stock checks
? Training of the junior chefs
? Upkeeping the high standards that are already in place

Qualifications/Experience required:
Previous experience in a similar establishment, also must have NVQ level 1 & 2 or equivalent and a full understanding of food safety and hygiene.
