They provide innovative, high-technology power conversion and control solutions, signature management systems, underwater measurement ranges and high integrity sensors for a variety of strategically important defence applications.

They are considered a leader in their fields of expertise and has a worldwide customer base.

The Role:

The successful Power Electronics Engineer will support the design, manufacture and supply novel power dense static converters and motors.

You will be responsible for delivering robust and cost effective power electronic solutions to a range of niche applications such as submarine power systems, high integrity power supplies, naval propulsion and specialist industrial drive systems.

You will become involved in all stages of the engineering lifecycle; from concept through to verification and validation of production systems.

As part of a team, you will develop power electronic solutions that successfully meet the overall objectives of the project.
The successful Power Electronics Engineer will be educated to degree level or equivalent in electrical or electronic engineering or a related discipline.

In addition, you will have a broad knowledge and understanding of power converter design and application.

Ideally, you will have worked on power electronic products operating from 400V ac supplies and switching in excess of 100 Amps.
