Welder - Fabricator- Chard, Somerset

Salary: Up to £23,350

The Company:
South-West England's leading sub-contract manufacturing company who are looking to recruit a skilled Welder / Fabricator.

Our client is the area's largest and most progressive sub-contract manufacturing company and they operate from a modern air conditioned factory with great working conditions and exemplary Health & Safety systems.

The Role:
The successful MIG Welder : Fabricator will join the team in a permanent position and will work a 39 hour week, Monday : Thursday 8am to 5pm Friday 8am : 1pm
The role primarily involves fabricating a range of Modular spreader beams for our customer who is class leader in this market.

Material is carbon steel and thicknesses from 6mm to 50mm.

All welding is to CODED standards although this is not a requirement of the applicants as will be undertaken after recruitment.


All work is MIG welding and all welding is done using fixtures/jigs so not necessarily looking for highly skilled fabricator but must have good welding experience.
You will have at least 3 years' experience in a welding / fabricator position, MIG welding experience, be able to read engineering drawings, be competent problem solver and highly motivated & used to working as part of a team
Salary: Up to £11.51 /hour (£23,350 pa)
