From £23,000 to £28,000 per annum including a bonus package

The Company

Our client is a 40 cover, fine dining Fish Restaurant opening up in Maldon, Essex in September.

Set in a beautiful Coastal area, in a Grade II Listed building, this venue is over 400 years old.
As a Sous Chef, you will use the finest locally sourced ingredients to create dishes that keep tourists and locals alike coming back for more, making use of Billingsgate Fish Market and local day-boat catches.

The Role

You will take ownership of the role and work in a collaborative environment with the directors.

As the successful Sous Chef you will:

- Be responsible for bringing fresh ideas to influence the menu
- Make use of seasonal produce
- Have a minimum of 2 years' experience from a fine dining background
- Aspirations to achieve awards
- Must be a passionate Sous Chef
- Look to grow with the restaurant to become one of the best Fish Restaurants


You will be responsible for:

- Achieving an immaculate kitchen environment
- Setting high standards of cleanliness and due diligence
- Staff training is paramount to running this small kitchen team
- Regular communication with the working Directors is paramount to success.

The kitchen is open plan, so you must be a friendly and charming chef! They expect their regulars and locals to get to know you!
