Children's Residential Support Worker

The Role:

? You will be supporting children and young adults within a residential living environment, ensuring they receive the highest levels of care and support which is appropriate to their individual needs.
? Provide support to children who may have suffered trauma
? Assist with activities of daily living, domestic duties and daily living
? Ensure health, safety and welfare of clients
? Record keeping - maintaining up to date reports such as care plans
? Maintain regular communication with Home Manager
? Respect the individuality and confidentiality of each client
? To communicate effectively



The Person:

? Previous experience working within a registered children's home
? Have an understanding of the importance of providing a stable environment for children
? A positive caring outlook and enabling attitude
? Ability to be patient & keep calm under pressure
? A sense of responsibility
? Professional, friendly & a willing disposition
? Reliable & trustworthy
? Experience of delivering complex support and health needs including, PEG Feeding, hoisting, postural care
? A willingness to go the extra mile
? Have excellent written and communication skills
? Enjoy a challenge and be flexible in your approach to work
? The ability to work evenings weekends and bank holidays
