The Role

The successful Chromatography Analyst will undertake analysis of client samples of food, beverages, and other food industry materials for trace metals and nutritional elements by ICP-MS.
You will perform sample preparation of foodstuffs and food industry related materials for testing of nutritional and trace element content including sample homogenisation, evaporation, and microwave assisted acid digestion.

You will maintain and clean equipment used in the above including balance calibration, pipette calibration, cleaning of microwave digestion tubes, and perform sample disposal
You will operate routine ICP-MS methods for analysis of foodstuffs and food industry related materials and perform quality control checks of data and prepare reports while assisting in sample receipt/test allocation in LIMS.
We are looking for someone with a Degree or equivalent in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or similar or minimum 2 years relevant laboratory experience (essential).
You will have experience using word processing or data sheet software packages (essential)
