Housing Team Manager

We are currently recruiting for a permanent full time Team Manager of a Housing Service to be based in the Stockwell area.
This is a great opportunity for either a current Team Leader or a Senior Support Worker looking for a new challenge and next step.


The role offers training and development to progress within your career too.

This is to work with a large housing association across London who support homeless and vulnerable people with accommodation.

As a Team Manager, you will assist the manager to run the daily operations of the service and manage a team of staff as well.

You will be responsible for your own caseload of customers and support with queries and any challenging situations whilst on shift.

? Ensure rent and arrears are managed effectively
? Ensure housing benefits are claimed by customers
? Liaise with outside agencies and other professionals
? KPI collection and monitoring
? Induct new staff and support in team members development and training needs
? Undertake supervision and conduct appraisals and assessments of staff

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

? The ideal candidate will be experienced in a similar role working with vulnerable people with homelessness and complex needs with an understanding of the challenges they face.

You will be able to provide effective leadership and motivate staff to work to the highest standards.
? Previous experience leading and managing a housing service or similar
? Experience of occupancy agreements and dealing with voids and rent arrears targets
? Knowledge of homelessness and housing
? Experience in managing a team effectively
? Knowledge of Safeguarding procedures and why these are important
? Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
? Computer literate and demonstrate good level of writing skills
