My client, a legal Insurance services company is looking for a Jnr Data Warehouse Developer to assist in the maintenance and development of the firms' Data Warehouse.

Write effective code using SQL Server to provide support for ETL processes, health checks and overall maintenance of the warehouse.

The company are the leading providers of legal and handling services to the UK general insurance sector.

Currently they provide specialist services to 12 of the UK's 20 largest motor insurers in areas such as counter fraud, costs, credit hire, defendant services, large & complex injury and recoveries

Main Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining the existing data warehouse by writing new and amending existing SQL
Provide support to the Senior Data Warehouse Developer to troubleshoot ETL issues
Write Adhoc SQL queries to support MI requests
Optimise and review existing queries
Create and amend stored procedures as required
Update existing documentation and maintain data dictionaries for the Warehouse
Ensure that the entity based database is efficient and free from duplication
Ensure that the data entries comply with the firm's Data standards
Verify user changes to the database within agreed timeframes, communicating with users as needed
Work with colleagues in IT and the wider business to develop MI solutions
Provide support for Data Quality analysis and reporting
Provide support to other colleagues within IT and the business as and when required
Technical Competencies
SQL Server-Intermediate
