SQL Server Data Platform Specialist (DBA) - Wokingham

Salary: Basic salary from £28K-£45K (£36K- £53K including on call allowance).

On call is one week in four and you are likely to join the rota within 6 months of joining.

Plus, up to 10% annual bonus which means you could receive £39,600 to £58,300 within the next year!

The Role

SQL Server Data Platform Specialist (DBA)
? Full ownership after induction and training (Senior support if you needed or required it).
? You will have the opportunity to work with over 400 database engines right up to SQL 2016 and Azure SQL DB.
? Performance tuning.
? Log Shipping.
? Disaster recovery.
? Project work will be on offer after a short time.
? Detailed SQL Server maintenance.
? You will have the opportunity to become a Senior/Lead DBA.

We would like to see you working one to one with 5-10 clients of your own.
? Having your mind set firmly set on influencing others
? Sharing information and helping others through the process.
After a thorough induction and training you'll be responding to an array of SQL Server issues, ranging from a simple job failure through to database corruption and that dreaded P1 incident.

You could start your day looking into why a database transaction log grew the previous night, which led to a disk space issue, and could end your day looking into a T-SQL script that a customer has reported to be running slower than normal.




Essential:
? 2-4 years working as a DBA
? Transaction 24 systems
? Ability to learn and adapt to how our customers work
