Quality Systems Manager

We are seeking a dynamic Quality Systems Manager to lead quality improvement initiatives, internal audits and championing continuous improvement across this technology dependant company.

The Quality Systems Manager will also be responsible for ensuring the on-going compliance with the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and BS EN ISO 17025:2017.


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Lead and contribute to quality improvement initiatives to improve processes within and across departments; and work with suppliers and customers to resolve product and service-related quality problems.

  • Ensure that systems are in place and are operated effectively to identify improvement opportunities.

    Assist in designing and implementing countermeasures.

    Ensure ongoing effectiveness and sustainability of changes.

  • Assist external auditors and customer inspectors as necessary.

  • Monitor for product failures, equipment failures and system failures which may impact upon the quality of the service provided by the company to its customers.

    Advise appropriate managers of failures and ensure that remedial actions are instigated.

  • Assist Management Team in the coordination of compliance activities including audits across the business and ensure that centralised records of compliance status are maintained and up-to-date

  • Promote the importance of a QMS and the benefits of standardised work across the business.

    Develop the QMS into a system that supports the business in achieving targets for customer satisfaction and excellence in process execution.

  • Ensure that processes needed for the QMS are established, implemented and maintained.

  • Process any quality ‘events', IRs and suggestions


Experience



  • You will have previously worked in a Quality Systems Management role in a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.

  • You will have at least 5 years' experience in the implementation and maintenance of business management systems ensuring compliance to ISO9001/ISO17025.

  • Any experience within the Automotive industry will be beneficial.
