Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor - Stornoway

Salary - £40k - £50k + Excellent Benefits + Professional Development Programme + Bonus

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for:

Tendering for works

Setting up Contract Insurances

Awarding Sub-Contract agreements with Sub-Contracts

Attending, contributing to and minuting Project Team Meetings

Attend and contributing to Clients' site meetings

Preparing Interim Valuations with Client's Surveyor and agreeing amounts for payment.

This involves valuing work executed and materials on site.

Paying Sub-Contractors their appropriate monthly payments

Re-measuring work using site measurement, measurement from drawings, information from Site

Informing Sub-Contractors of Contract variations

Valuing variations

Preparing programmes and cash Flow Forecasts

Agreeing Sub-Contractor Final Accounts

Agreeing Contract Final Accounts

Ensuring that retention monies/additional monies are released

Ad Hoc contract management duties as and when required

Skills and Experience

Essential:

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent

10 years + Quantity surveying experience within the Construction industry.

IT literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Drivers licence

Desirable:

A member of the RICS

CSCS card holder
