Residential Children's Home Manager

Residential Children's Home Manager - Colchester, Essex

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum (Permanent)

The Company

This Children's Home is based in a large house in a rural setting in Essex.

It is a residential children's home with a therapeutic approach.

The home's aim is to resolve issues in young people and not to merely contain them.

This is achieved by using Attachment based care and by looking for the communication behind any behaviour.

The home nurtures and understands the child by using empathy as one of the key tools.

The Role

A Childrens Home Registered Manager is needed for a new home in the Colchester area.

The home cares for young people with attachment and behavioural issues.

The candidate will need to have some experience at a senior/deputy/managerial level in a childrens home and if they do not have their Level 5, should be willing to work towards it as soon as they start.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

The candidate should have worked in a Childrens Home for a minimum of two of the last five years and have one year's experience at a supervisory level.

Training in practice and ethos will be given to the successful candidate.

Usual office hours apply but will be required to be on call when on rota.
