My client, UK's largest award winning News Publisher is looking to hire a Snr DevOps Engineer within the Platforms Team and will be instrumental in managing and delivering the technology that leads to wider DevOps adoption.

This news publisher has an award-winning digital portfolio comprising more than 50 titles and last year they sold 620 million newspapers, with 5.8 million readers of one of their brands each month.

Their network of over 70 websites provide 24/7 coverage of news, sport and showbiz stories, with 8.1 billion page views per year.

Summary of role

We are currently seeking a Snr DevOps to drive technical vision and provide leadership for a team of DevOps engineers in an innovative and fast paced environment.

Furthermore, the ideal candidate must be able to inspire, champion and teach when the need arises.

It is essential that the candidate is able to work with & is comfortable keeping the "lights on" with our older technology.

We are considering candidates with a range of prior experience in DevOps.

Ideal candidates will be familiar with delivering solutions in AWS and have experience with the technologies referenced below.

Whatever your prior level of experience, you will be an excellent communicator and able to work effectively across product delivery teams to quickly deliver creative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

To manage and drive technical vision and provide leadership for a group of DevOps engineers in an innovative and fast paced environment.

Managing infrastructure of current applications using best practices & with cost efficiency

Reacting to system issues as part of daily support

Being part of a support rota that provides support to our production environments
