Speech & Language Therapist (Band 6) - South East London

Salary: £32,000-£38,000

Full time: 40 hours per week

A great role has become available for a Senior Speech & LanguageTherapist (SLT) (Band 6) to join a leading care provider who are expanding their team.

This organisation provides personal care to individuals in residential homes with complex and varied needs including mental health support.

The role

As the Senior Speech & LanguageTherapist; you will be for delivering effective Speech and LanguageTherapy to vulnerable adults in community rehabilitation and supported living services.

You will be working with adults who have mental health, learning disabilities or other complex needs as part of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.

Key responsibilities

? Responsible for the delivery of effective Speech and Language Therapy services for vulnerable adults
? Utilise Speech and Language Therapy skills to effectively assess, treat and provide on-going evaluation and support of clients
? Work across a range of services delivering client programmes and adhering to local and national professional standards, keeping the Lead SLT informed of updates
? Delegating an appropriate caseload and providing clinical and operational supervision to SLT Assistants
? Use Speech and Language Therapy skills to effectively assess, treat and provide support to clients
? Contribute to high standards of person centred care for all clients
? Provide ongoing evaluation for clients using Speech and Language Therapy
? Assist the Clinical Lead SLT in delivering training programmes


? A recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent
? HCPC registered and a registered member of RCSLT
? Previous postgraduate SLT clinical experience within an adult learning disability or mental health setting
? Evidence of ongoing professional development
? Basic Dysphagia management experience may be advantageous
