Occupational Therapist (Band 6)

Occupational Therapist (Band 6) - North London (Woolwich, Erith & Dartford)

Salary: £32,000 - £38,000

Full time: 40 hours per week

A great role has become available for a Senior Occupational Therapist (Band 6) to join an established organisation, who provide personal care to individuals in residential homes with complex and varied needs including mental health.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and be responsible for the delivery of effective services across multiple sites in Chingford, Haringey and Waltham Abbey.

Key responsibilities

? Delivery of effective Occupational Therapy (OT) services across multiple sites for adults with learning disabilities, mental health and complex needs.
? Completion of comprehensive assessments using clinical reasoning to review and evaluate client progress, amending treatment plans accordingly
? Delegating caseloads and providing clinical and operational supervision to OT Assistants
? Use assessment analysis to formulate appropriate objectives for treatment
? To devise, implement and evaluate treatment programmes through comprehensive assessments of clients and setting appropriate and realistic goals for treatment
? Work closely and extensively with clients, carers and other involved professionals in order to develop highly specialised occupational therapy treatment programmes
? Maintain and exhibit up to date knowledge and skills relevant to field and practice
? Assist with the development and delivery of relevant OT training
? Other Occupational Therapy duties as required


? A degree in Occupational Therapy
? HCPC registered and member of the British Association of Occupational Therapy
? Relevant postgraduate experience working as an Occupational Therapist
? Previous experience or learning in an adult learning disability or mental health/secure setting
