Salary: £41,770 - £47,015 per annum per annum + exclusive benefits

Who we are
Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) plans, develops and manages an integrated transport system for the West Midlands that is reliable, affordable and accessible for all.

It is the transport arm of the West Midlands Combined Authority.

About the team
This is a truly exciting time for the Metro team… The West Midlands is going through a period of major expansion which will see the Metro network triple in size between 2018 and 2026.

The first phase of this expansion is currently underway and will see the opening of four new extensions by 2023 with Phase 2 of the programme being delivered by 2026.

We are a dynamic project team working in partnership with Midland Metro Alliance and Midland Metro Limited to design, build and operate the West Midlands Metro tramway and network, better connecting the people of our region.

Who we need
We are looking for a great communicator with strong influencing and problem-solving skills.

You will be self-motivated and able to manage complex information and technical challenges to deliver successful outcomes for all parties.

Attention to the finer detail, quality standards and the safety issues involved is at the forefront of every project you undertake.

You will have experience of project managing Business improvement programmes and will have developed your ability to manage conflicting interests within joint ventures ideally within the rail industry.

The Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental [QHSE] Manager will support the Programme Quality, Assurance & Systems Manager in all aspects of the development, design and delivery processes.

Additionally, the role will ensure that sub-contractors and supply chains are robust, fit for purpose and meet both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations.
