Network Technical Support Manager - Manchester

Network Technical Support Manager - IT Network Manager - Network Support Manager - ICT Support Manager Line Management - Change management - ITIL Service Desk - Network Support - Technical Support - Windows Server - Active Directory - Veem - Hyper-V - Office 365 - Education - Manchester - Up to £27,000 per annum + Benefits.


Our client an established Managed Service Provider who specialises in providing IT Support within the educational sector are currently seeking an Network Technical Support Manager - IT Network Manager - Network Support Manager - ICT Support Manager to provide line management to on-site technicians and be the key single point of contact to the customer and assist with the delivery of ICT managed support services.


Network Technical Support Manager responsibilities:



  • Network Manager will be asked to Line Manage a team of ICT Technicians based on-site at a school in Manchester.

  • Triage all school-generated Service Desk Tickets; i.e.

    Manage Ticket assignment to the on-site resource(s) where applicable, escalate to the Service Desk or self-manage

  • Manage Issue escalation as required.

  • Network Manager will provide all school-based users with on-site technical assistance, either directly or through the on-site team of IT Technicians.


  • Manage all ICT Managed Service delivery processes and perform routine on-site service delivery and system maintenance tasks.

  • Manage on-site change processes alongside the Project Teams and the in-house Service Desk.

  • Be responsible for all technical tasks allocated to the on-site call queue(s) allocated through the Service Desk.


Required Skills for the Network Technical Support Manager - IT Network Manager are



  • Customer-focused and experienced Network Manager

  • Line management of staff

  • Server and network technical support

  • Change Management processes

  • ITIL Service Desk operations


Technical Knowledge - maintaining and monitoring the following:



  • SCCM (MS updates, AV and image deployment)

  • Web filter applications

  • network switch environment

  • Office 365/Google environments

  • Active Directory Management


Desirable:



  • Exposure to the education sector is advantageous

  • ITIL Foundation V3


The Network Technical Support Manager - IT Network Manager will be based on-site at a school in Manchester and my established MSP client is looking to reward the successful candidate with a salary of up to £27,000pa + Ben's and plenty of career progression!
