Buyer / Account Manager - Recycling Company - Harrogate

Basic Salary £30 -£35K

OTE £40 - £60K uncapped commission -Company Car + benefits

The company is one of the leading commodity distribution businesses in the UK.

They handle in excess of 150k tonnes P/A of various waste streams including paper, plastics and metals.

They are now looking to increase their presence in London and its surrounding areas

Due to increasing success in the sector, they are looking for an outstanding individual to manage and grow existing and new relationships for material supply.

They have been active in the market for over 10 years and have built a solid reputation with their client case over this time.

They are looking for a dynamic and driven Buyer/Account Manager who can work well as part of a team and yet make their own decisions, someone who has great people skills and has a high level of attention to detail!

You will be responsible for the following;

Regularly visiting your account base to view material and build rapport with on-site contacts.

Highlighting priority accounts, finding key contacts and nurturing long term, lasting relationships.

Negotiating, bidding and securing recyclable material at the best possible price.

Liaising with the sales team to ensure the best price is achieved.

Providing accurate and detailed descriptions of material condition, environment and background to ensure quality is maintained.

Resolving any customer issues to ensure the best outcome for the company whilst considering both personal targets, customer relationships and the bigger company picture.

Keeping accounts, contacts, materials and notes accurate and up-to-date on a bespoke company CRM system.

To identify potential contractual opportunities, lead discussions and drive the process forward from first conversation to final signature.

Attending 'virtual' commercial meetings as required in order to communicate effectively with the wider CPR team
