The Tank Museum is looking for a Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Executive to push the development of an exciting new online income stream.

The Tank Museum has a global online reach underpinned by an impressive following on social media, which places it at the leading edge of cultural digital engagement.

Partnerships with online influencers have helped The Tank Museum widen its audience - particularly through its vibrant YouTube channel (17m views and 310,000 subscribers in 2020) and Facebook community (reaching 41m with over 300,000 likes in 2020).

This reach has proved critical in our ability to navigate the choppy waters of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The only positive taken from 2020 has been the dramatic growth of online retail - increasing the sustainability and financial resilience of this Bovington-based charity.

We are confident we can continue to grow this online business - and we're investing in that vision with this new position.

We've come a long way in a short time.

In 2019, The Tank Museum's online shop took £155,763, 50% of which was taken in the months of November and December.

When the Museum was forced to close its doors in March 2020 we turned our attention to online retail, and have seen sales increase 591%, with sessions up 412% - all making an invaluable financial contribution to our future sustainability.

As part of the Marketing Team, The Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Executive will report to the Digital Marketing Exec.

They will be responsible for driving our e-commerce ambitions forward; overseeing the execution of promotional activity to attract new customers.

They will also support marketing and advertising activity for The Tank Museum and its programme of events.

The ideal candidate will be technically skilled and well versed in the digital marketing landscape - ready to contribute their expertise and creativity to an ambitious team which is aiming to be a global leader in their sector.
