Computational Physicist; Maths Modeller; Software Engineer
The post involves the development of both algorithms and professional
graphical interfaces to the algorithms.
Solve numerical, mathematical and programmatic problems; using C++;
Develop physics modelling capabilities by seeking improvements, implementing additional physics models and numerical methods into existing, prototype or new codes
Develop expertise in the use, application and validity of numerical methods
Scientists/Software Engineers will have some of the following qualifications and experience;
An excellent first degree in Physics or Mathematics (1st/2.1).
A PhD in a computational physics/software discipline.
Proven software skills, preferably in C++; or Python, Matlab, Java, Signal Processing
2 or more years of postdoc or commercial experience in numerical techniques
Physicsts/Software Engineers to have skills in both computational physics and computer science.
Team members are responsible for developing the physics algorithms for existing products
