Salary - £25,000 - £35,000

Additional Resources have been instructed to recruit a Rural Surveyor, in Somerset/Wiltshire.

The firm offer an array of services within the rural market, including livestock auctioning and due to succession planning, require an experienced Rural Surveyor, within the firm.

With offices covering North and Central Somerset, they combine traditional values with the latest technology and their dedicated teams act as one contented family to provide an excellent service to all customers.

The role offers flexibility and the opportunity to implement fresh ideas within the firm.

With this opportunity you will primarily be involved with the sale and letting of residential property specialising in the mid to upper end of the property market.

There will also be an involvement with the sale of country houses, farms, smallholdings, land and development opportunities as well as online auctions.



The successful candidate will need a qualification accredited by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or a course approved by the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV).

Main responsibilities

Valuations of Rural and Residential property for secured loan, taxation, estate planning, dispute purposes.

Sales and letting of rural and commercial property including cottages, farms, smallholdings, land, shops, offices and industrial premises

Compensation claims against Utility Companies

Preparation of Farm Business Tenancy Agreements, Grazing Licences, etc.

Rural Planning.

Ideal candidate

You should be a good team player and a great communicator who is able to make decisions using your own initiative, to solve a range of analytical challenges.

You must possess RICS qualification or training towards RICS qualification.

Previous experience preferred but not essential.

A strong rural background with a practical understanding of agriculture.
