Estimator - Ground Investigation - Leeds (Based in Leeds with travel as required)

Salary circa £35k plus benefits (Car, Pension, PMI, Life Assurance)

The Company

Our client is a long established leader in the UK Geotechnical Sector, with over 50 years of experience, delivering both Ground Investigation and Drill and Grout services from three bases across the country,

The Ground Investigation Division provides a broad scope of coverage, capable of completing investigations ranging from single house foundation investigations, to nationally significant capital and infrastructure schemes such as HS2, Crossrail and Thames Tideway.

Some of the available techniques include: Cable Percussive boring to 100m, Rotary Coring and Open holing to 150m, Dynamic Sampling, Dynamic Probing, Trial Pitting

The Role

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Estimator from a Ground Investigation background.

The successful candidate will be part of the busy Bid Team to assist the company's clients to add value to projects with the timely return of competitive proposals, and continuing to build networks with clients, subcontractors and contacts, to allow a pipeline of achievable and profitable work to be secured for the company.



Role Responsibilities

Build relationships with clients, subcontractors and regional business units.

Review information received from clients and assess requirements for further information to be able to supply a coherent bid.

Challenge specification requirements where needed.

Understand tender return requirements and liaise with other departments to complete and return them to the highest standard possible and within the timescale required.

Look for opportunities to add value to all tenders and innovative solutions for clients.

Undertake site visits.

Discuss site investigation requirements with clients and provide alternative proposals where they are possible.
