Snr Full Stack, Frontend Developer - Remote (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) - UK Home based

£65 to 75k + home working

My client, an award-winning Publishing House in London, is looking for a Snr Fullstack Engineer, but a Frontend Developer with aspirations to become Full Stack is very welcome to apply.

This role is based predominantly at home and limited travel to London is needed once they return to a new normal.

You will join a small, agile development team that supports their editorial titles by undertaking quick, tactical changes to the publishing systems and digital products.

In this role, you will be responsible for their comments and chat features.



You will look after things like:

Acquisition of users through search and social optimisation

Features that encourage users to engage and move around our products

Features that encourage users of Reach plcs digital news products to interact with editorial staff and each other
Commenting on articles and interactive web chats but with the potential to expand into related features.

Tools to enable our editorial team to build relationships with users via two-way conversations, encouraging user loyalty and increasing return visits.

Tracking and understanding user journeys across multiple visits, from discovery to loyalty

Optimising the promotion of features that drive engagement and loyalty

Their infrastructure is in Amazon Web Services and as such they make great use of the different capabilities that it provides.

Their primary editorial tool is a Java based CMS on ECS that integrates with third parties such as Brightcove Video for specialist needs.



The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position will be a generalist, with an interest in working across the full stack.

You will have experience working collaboratively within a web development team with a non-hierarchical structure, be self-directed and happy to work on your own initiative.
