Job Title: Fundraising Manager
Hours: Full-Time 37.5 hours per week
Location: Predominantly Westminster, (but open to some remote working), occasionally at our outdoor base in Surrey
Salary: £31,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
Reports to: CEO, and has some responsibility to board subcommittees for Strategic Plan
Responsible for: No line management duties yet, but the potential to recruit staff or Contractors - budget and business needs allowing.
This is a hugely significant role in the charity.
Our ability to raise funds and secure resources is vital to ensuring that Caxton Youth Organisation
The responsibilities of the Fundraising Manager will encompass overall leadership on fundraising, as well as collaborative business development, communications, building and innovative funding and partnerships.
, To secure annual income of c.
£220k for Caxton Youth Organisation's operational needs through planning and implementing income generation strategies.
, To work effectively and collaboratively with the CEO and Heads of Programmes, as well as the Board of Trustees of Caxton, to ensure that the charity delivers its strategy and achieves its objectives.
, To manage the relationship with both financial and non-financial partners to develop facilities and resources, ensuring that services provided are of the highest quality for the beneficiaries.
, Working alongside the CEO and senior team to realise the future and sustainable development of Caxton Youth Organisation.
, To lead on income generation for key strategic projects, including (but not limited to):
o Relocation and/or redevelopment Caxton Youth Club, and Midge Island (Residential Property)
o Developing new fundable programmes, alongside the CEO.

Fundraising and Sponsorship:
, To work with the Board and Senior Management Team to develop a funding pipeline, identify potential trusts and foundations to approach, write funding bids, secure sponsorship and generally raise funds.
, You will have extensive experience of fundraising, including developing relationships with external organisations and creating and executing funding and communications plans for a variety of audiences.
, To create a robust plan to develop Midge Island, our outdoor base in Surrey that is too small and needs to be upgraded and to identify potential donors for subsequent redevelopment.
To manage any similar projects of this type through to completion.
, To work to find a new permanent home for the club, that will enable us to grow our provision within Westminster.
, To report to funders and appropriate stakeholders the impact of funding secured.
Communication and Engagement:
, To maximise our profile and engagement both internally and externally.
, To work alongside the CEO and Board of Trustees to develop a strategy for communication with stakeholders to include targeted propositions.
, To identify potential funding opportunities and maintain relationships allowing the organisation to develop its facilities and resources in order to meet its beneficiaries needs.
, To work with the accountant, to make sure Management Accounts are up to date and maintained
, To work with the CEO and board, to ensure Risk register is adequately addressed.
, To develop and update electronic communication systems for managing governance, processes to include HR, training and information sharing.
, To ensure all IT meets legal requirements.
, To ensure that no stakeholder suffers discrimination, especially because of their gender, ethnic identity, sexuality, disability and/or social background.
, To work within and according to Caxton Youth Organisation's policies and procedures.
, To encourage participation and promote responsibility among the membership.
, To work in a supportive manner with the staff team, volunteers and trainees.
, To contribute to the provision of a welcoming environment for stakeholders.
