Family Support Worker

Black Country Women's Aid (BCWA) is an established charity working across the Black Country and wider West Midlands providing accommodation and community support services to victims of domestic abuse, sexual abuse and human trafficking.

Services range from advocacy, civil remedies, support in court, individual and group support and access to a range of therapeutic interventions.

All services are client and needs led.

We are looking for exceptional candidates to join our growing and successful IRIS Team.

Job Title: IRIS Advocate Educator
Positions Available: 1 x full time posts (37.5 Hours per week)
Salary: £25590.96 per Annum

We are looking for a multi skilled trainer and support worker to join this innovative and dynamic project supporting and providing on-going training for health professionals in general practice on understanding and responding to domestic violence and abuse (DVA).

IRIS (Identification and Referral for Increased Safety) is a programme currently being delivered in over 35 areas nationally.

This role presents an opportunity for the successful candidate to continue to expand and develop this project across the Black Country and wider region.

BCWA has adapted services during COVID to support victims of violence and abuse that meet all latest Government guidance.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available at all our sites and distributed to all staff as appropriate.

You will receive appropriate training to undertake the duties of the job on and on and offsite basis and all situations are risk assessed.

Management supervision, support and oversight is embedded in our practice to ensure all parties are kept safe.
