Customer Support Administrator - London


Overview


This technology leader in their field, with an enviably strong position in a wide range of markets, are growing fast and are seeking someone to look after customer enquiries and charges for after-sales service and returns.


The role is to ensure that customers receive prompt and clear information to enable repairs, refurbishment, site visits, configuration and other services to be carried out in often fast-moving and demanding circumstances.

The Role


This is a new position with scope to develop the role.

The successful candidate would be working with the customer support, production, finance and business development teams to create clear information for customers, then managing detailed information, keeping track of quotations and orders, and ensuring that customers are kept informed.


Key Elements



  • Developing price lists for all aspects of after-sales service, working with the business development and customer support teams.

  • Preparing quotations, processing orders and maintaining good communication with customers.

  • Keeping track of quotations and orders, maintaining performance measures, escalating enquiries where needed.

  • Carrying out other tasks for customer support such as reporting performance measures, assisting with support tickets, coordinating activities and so on.


Requirements


Essential:



  • Minimum of 3 years in an order processing role for technical or engineering products and services.

  • Close attention to detail, excellent organisational abilities.

  • Experience with computerised order processing systems.

  • Experienced user of Excel and other office applications.

  • Ability to work well with several teams to gain cooperation and priority for urgent requirements.


Desirable:



  • Experience with Odoo or a similarly scaled ERP system.

  • Experience of electronics and light mechanical manufacturing.

  • Experience in markets with tight deadlines and unpredictable demand.
