6 months (with further opportunities for other permanent roles)
37 hours per week (able to consider part-time hours)
NS14 £40,876 - £42,821 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and creative candidate to the varied and rewarding role of Growth & Regeneration Lead Officer on a temporary contract up to 6 months.

During this time, there may be opportunities to apply for other permanent roles that come up within the team.


This post forms part of our focus and priority on regeneration and increasing our resource capacity to achieve an ambitious programme of projects across the District.

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to develop into the new roles created over the next year.


Providing support to the existing team, you will be an additional lead Officer in the growth and regeneration activity of the Housing Strategy and Development Business Unit; you will provide specialist advice, knowledge and skills covering the regeneration and housing development disciplines.


You will be responsible for the development and delivery of specific programmes in relation to regeneration activities, neighbourhood studies and wider master planning to improve health, the economy and our built environment in focused areas of the district.

An example of this can be seen through the Councils work to deliver a transformational regeneration project of a housing estate in Newark.


You will demonstrate a track record of leading and communicating with a range of partners in delivering transformational physical, social, and economic regeneration, hold sound project management and influencing skills.
