Area Manager

An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Area Manager to oversee 4-6 sites providing supported living for individuals with learning disabilities in the Rugby, Warwickshire area.

You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

The Operations Manager role is to meet set company business objectives and targets through effective leadership, direction and management of a team of Deputy Managers in supported living

As the Area Manager your key responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the Head of Operations and Housing, Operations Manager and Senior Management team to develop and apply the strategy for the services

  • Identify opportunities for improved performance of the existing services and future developments

  • To enhance the profile and credibility of the services by developing positive relationships and partnerships with local authorities, families and other professionals

  • To participate in promotional campaigns and marketing to ensure that the supported living services maximise their opportunities

  • Ensure that all supported living services are prepared and ready for the regulatory body inspections

  • To liaise with other key senior managers and departments within the organisation to ensure their role delivery and activity meets the agreed expectation of the company

  • To provide strong management, leadership, coaching and mentoring of Deputy Managers in the supported living services

  • Lead, support and provide direction to the Deputy Managers in day-to-day management of their service to ensure efficient and effective running of the service, including recruiting and managing staff teams, managing budgets and ensuring that the quality of the services provided meets CQC regulatory requirements

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • At least 5 years experience in a multi-site operations management capacity within a health and social care organisation, specifically supported living

  • Have a strong background in working with people who may display behaviour that may challenge and an evidenced knowledge of supporting people (with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and ABI)

  • Good knowledge of Google Drive, able to use computer systems including care management systems to create accurate reports and able to assess / audit staff ability to use computer systems to record relevant data accurately and to a high standard

  • Experience complying with the CQC Frameworks and detailed understanding of the associated legislation and care quality standards

The successful Area Manager will receive an excellent salary up to £40,000 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 40 hours a week.
