Care Assistant

An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed Care Assistant to work in an exceptional care home based in the Penilee, Glasgow.

You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This special care home has an experienced care team who offer numerous types of care; these include nursing, convalescence, palliative care, respite and nursing dementia care.

The team is also trained to help those with Parkinson's disease, carrying out tailored packages to suit each resident's well-being

As a Care Assistant your key duties include:

  • Respecting the Residents' dignity and privacy

  • Providing the highest standard of person-centred support to the Residents' to be as independent as possible and encouraging them to do as much for themselves as they can

  • Working with Residents' and families to deliver person centered care

  • Supporting with all aspects of personal care; feeding, toileting, bathing

  • Maintaining thorough and up to date records on each Residents'

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • Fantastic people skills

  • Great team player

  • Adaptable - think on your feet and adapt quickly to changing situations

  • Excellent communication skills

The successful Care Assistant will receive an excellent salary of £9.50 per hour.

This exciting position is a Part Time role working through Night Shifts only.

To be considered for this position ideally you will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
