Sister/ Charge Nurse - Larne, Northern Ireland

Salary: £ 19.18 ph.

(£39,894PA) + Introduction Bonus £1500

Hours: 40 hrs per week - Day Duties

The Company

My client has over 25 year's experience in the private nursing home sector, in which each of their homes holds an excellent reputation for providing high quality care.

They are looking for a Sister/Charge Nurse to join their home in Larne, Northern Ireland to continue their commitment to client care providing a home from home environment.

In return my client will invest in your training and development to ensure that client care is embedded in everything they do.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a nursing home environment and be confident in their ability and have a caring nature.

You will be an effective communicator and excellent team player being able to work both alone and providing leadership and guidance covering managerial duties in the absence of the assistant nurse manager or Nurse Manager occasionally taking on on-call duties.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organised, and maintain confidentiality in relation to clients in their care and the staff that they supervise.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to be second in charge and be ready to step up in the absence of Nurse Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager.

Role Responsibilities:

? Act as a Named nurse for a group of clients
? Carry out personal care interventions and ensure that high standards of personal care for clients are achieved by care staff.

Ensuring any concerns are reported directly to the nursing manager.
? Assess, prescribe, and evaluate care appropriately.
? Liaise with other health care professionals as required
? Medication administration
? Good knowledge of Safeguarding procedures
? Monitoring of nutritional intake for all clients
? Adhere to the NMC professional code of conduct
? Carry out quality care record audits when required and report any concerns to
